One of the signs of hard water is the very thing that makes it difficult to clean and to get rid of,it doesn’t react to soap.

Lemon Juice

You can try removing hard water stains using lemon juice. Spray fresh lemon juice on hard water scale build-up in your toilet. Rinse after 15 minutes. You can do this for other things in your house that has the same problem, make sure to wipe the area clean.

Why you should make your own cleaner

Many toilet bowl cleaners contain dyes, which can lead to stains in your bowl. This is especially true for clip-on cleaners that remain in the toilet at all times.

White Vinegar

Make sure not to use apple cider vinegar. The brown color will stain your toilet over time. It will clean just as well, but you don’t want to have to worry about staining.

Fill a clean spray bottle with white vinegar. You could just pour from the vinegar bottle, but you’ll use a lot less with a spray bottle. You’ll also be able to apply the vinegar to the entire inside of the bowl and spray on targeted areas.

Spray some white vinegar inside the toilet bowl and let it sit for a few minutes.I let it sit for at least 10 minutes. You can also leave it overnight when the bathroom won’t be used. Pour the vinegar in the toilet bowl water and let it sit to get rid of the toilet ring at water height.

Toothpaste

Whitening toothpaste is an effective way to clean your toilet Bowl. Thin the toothpaste a little bit with water, then apply it to the toilet and let it sit for a while before gently scrubbing it with a toilet brush
