1 Cleaning Your Toilet

The solvent that makes up WD 40 will dissolve and mess or lime stains that are in your toilet. Get your toilet brush, spray it a few times, and use it like how you usually do. You will see the lime and funk vanish.

 

2 Clean Carpet Stains

Don’t let ink or other stains ruin your fine carpet. Spray the stain with WD-40, wait a minute or two, and then use your regular carpet cleaner or gently cleanse with a sponge and warm, soapy water. Continue until the stain is completely gone.

 

3 Removing glue 

Next time you’re working on a project and accidentally get some super glue stuck to your fingers, just spray the area with WD-40. The sticky glue will come off when you rub your hands together.

4 Clean Water Marks

Spray some WD 40 on the shower glass that has a watermark on it and use a microfiber cloth to wipe those stains away.

 

5 Clean Stains From Counter Tops

 

Wipe stains away from your countertop. It could be coffee or wine. Just spray some WD 40 on a sponge or cloth and wipe the counter. If it doesn’t come off with one wipe, repeat the process.

 

6 Remove Gum

Gum stuck on your shoe, carpets, or hair? Spray WD 40 directly on it, allow it to sit for a few minutes, then pull the gum off. But be gentle with your hair.

 

 

8 Remove Lipstick Marks

Makeup is one hard stain to remove but WD-40 can help. It’s one of the most effective ways to remove makeup from cloth. Just a dab of it will work as a pretreatment before you wash the tarnished item of clothing!

 

9 Remove Duck tape residue

Remove old duct tape and its residue. Just peal part of the tape and apply some WD 40, and the residue that’s left spray some more and use a sponge or cloth and wipe it away.

 

10 Soften paint brushes

Cleans and softens paintbrushes after you use them. Wash the brush with some water, then add some WD 40 to it. Let it sit for a minute and wash it out.

 

11 Loosen stubborn zippers

Gentle, apply it to the zipper and be careful not to spray it all over your cloth. Pull the zipper up and down a few times to make sure it’s properly lubricated.

 

12 Bug Repellent

 

Keep bugs at bay. Spray WD-40 on window sills, etc. to keep spiders and insects out.
